Brandon Hawkins is a senior civil litigator whose practice primarily consists of insurance defense cases involving personal injury, premises liability, construction defect, professional liability, wildfires, wrongful death, transportation and other related matters. He has eleven years of experience taking and defending depositions, engaging in settlement and contractual negotiations, trial preparation, legal research and writing, and general case management through practice in state and federal courts in Oregon, Colorado, Utah and Tennessee. Brandon takes great pride in zealously advocating for his clients through all stages of the litigation process with civility and compassion for his clients’ interests and an eye towards justice.

Brandon earned his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon in 2015, where he received his J.D. and a Certificate in Criminal Law & Procedure following service as a misdemeanor law clerk with a local District Attorney’s Office.

Prior to law school, Brandon was a purchasing manager and middle school teacher for a multi-state private school system based in Utah. He also served as a military intelligence officer in the United States Air Force after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish (cum laude). He received his commission in 2004 and was honorably discharged at the rank of captain in 2009 following service supporting numerous joint and multinational operations, exercises and other activities at home and abroad, including Operation Iraqi Freedom for which he earned the USAF Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service.

Brandon currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee with his partner, Sarah, and Australian Shepherd, Shiloh. When not practicing law, they enjoy the outdoors and travel and are always in search of the next James Beard or Michelin Star restaurant.

Following his relocation and admission to Tennessee in 2023, Brandon is actively seeking to grow JPK’s footprint there, and is open to discussions regarding how the firm might assist you or your business in that regard.
