Brandon Hawkins
Brandon Hawkins is a litigation associate who focuses his practice primarily on civil defense in personal injury, premises liability and construction defect matters. He has five years of experience taking and defending depositions, engaging in settlement and contractual negotiations, legal research and writing, and case management through practice in state and federal courts in both Colorado and Utah. Brandon takes great pride in zealously advocating for his clients through all stages of the litigation process with civility and compassion for his clients’ interests and an eye towards justice.
Brandon earned his law degree from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2015, where in addition to his Juris Doctorate, he also received a Certificate in Criminal Law & Procedure. He received honors for his first-year appellate brief in legal writing, served as a research assistant, and won an award in a global law writing contest regarding the legality of drone warfare. In his third-year, Brandon was a certified law clerk who gained experience trying misdemeanor cases with the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office in Oregon City, Oregon.
Prior to law school, Brandon was a purchasing manager and middle school teacher for a multi-state private school system. He also served as a military intelligence officer in the United States Air Force after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Spanish (cum laude). He received his commission in 2004 and was honorably discharged at the rank of captain in 2009.
